Adam Era

Ok the new Administration has brought with it our first Victory of the year.

The Democratically Elected Captain has pushed through the politics and hurdles of the first road Match to deliver us the win, 4-1. Of course his detractors (aka.. other teams) will point out that this is probably one of the weaker teams. But don't be fooled by their attempt's to diminish the Accomplishment of the first of Many wins.

Leading by example Adam paired up with the New Kid on the block in 1st position. Carrying the injured Kartik over the finish line for the inspirational win! (6-1,6-0)

On court 2 Dave and Courtney found themselves inspired by the example to also win in straight sets (6-1,6-2).

Now since it was a split time match the other courts weren't able to witness the events and would have to wait for the telling inspiration to hit home. Being the Cynics they are. Bob and Todd were pondering the previous events well into the second set before they were able to find the belief and pull out the win . (4-6,6-3,6-3)

Court 4 saw true Adamite's take the example and run with it. Dean and George wasted no time winning their match in straight sets (6-2,6-4).

Now Court 5 on the other hand are definitely the "Fox News" Team of the week. Mickey (Who's known to have hung with High ranking Rep. Guys) and Joel (Who's probably flown em around) didn't really buy into the Whole new direction thing this week and lost a close match (6-4,7-6). Don't worry though, peer pressure will bring them into the fold.

Next Week we will continue this Administrations Winning ways with a Home win over the Yankees... I mean Willows...

Car Pooling Season. Place your Bets!

All right the new schedule is out and it's got 12 teams this year! That means 22 matches.. Just 4 short of a complete half years worth of Saturday matches. Throw in the two byes each half, some vacations and playoffs and this years season will clock in at just under a Decade.

This Year the Motto is "Drive Baby Drive" Your average road trip time just went up. This Year Lexington is back along with a 2nd Westford team. Not to mention the 2 Winchester Teams and that Lynnfield place. But it's not all bad news.. Both of the BSC's are Air Conditioned!

This year we are looking stronger than ever. We missed the draft due to a Coaching Change. But we were able to add a couple of New guys. ( We stole em from other teams.) Our Veterans are now Older aka More experienced. And our New Captain is Brainstorming out some killer lineups.

Now for the Breakdown of the Season and our opponents.

Ok let's break down the Teams.

Playoff Contenders.

US: Of course this is the Year.

Prediction: Champs! (no seriously 5th again)

Newburyport: Since drafting former A players a couple of seasons ago they have become a lock on the #1 regular season spot. But they keep coming up one match short in the playoffs as the more stacked team of the season takes em out.

Prediction: Finish Season in 1st, lose 2-3 in Playoffs.

Winchester Red: Ok now this team seems to pick up some sick players every year thanks to the fact that they are an open club and easy drive from Boston. Hopefully this year they don't. They have a home version and an away version of thier team. Home version is much better.

Prediction: Finish in 2nd or 3rd even money to win Championship.

Better Willows team: Ok this year there is only 2 Willows teams and One figures to be alot better than the other. The core of thier team rolled thru the Usta's and with the ability to pick and choose the best of the Willows they are Winchester Reds toughest foe for the Championship.

Prediction: Finish in 2nd or 3rd, even money to win Championship.

Westford: Last year they snuck in with some lucky matchups in the final 3 weeks. But this year with the addition of a 2nd team it gives them the opportunity to stack one of the Teams. We will probably be fighting them for 4th again.

Prediction: 4th by a point. Lose in the Finals to Willows/Winchester

The Rest of the Bunch.

Lynnfield has the power in thier top position to surprise some teams but they lack depth. Yes they creamed us in the last match last year. But that was a fluke. Northeast is riding a 5 year skid down the rankings. The 2nd Teams for the Willows,Westford, and Winchester will have a few stars but will lack the depth to reach the heights of thier better teams. Bass River is a solid average team that will be right in the middle at the end of the Season.

The sleaper of the year: Lexington. The Reason is that they have solid players and the club is like 100 miles away. It gives them the easiest Home matches due to the fact that most clubs have a hard time getting thier 5 top teams there at thier split match times. If they can mount a better than .500 road record position 4 could be thiers.

So that's this years scouting report. Draft accordingly and get a fuel efficient Vehicle.
