Hope you like Coal.

We have reached the Half way point of the season. And that means we all get Presents!!! Well not really because we haven't been good. The Team is Stuck in a first half rut that has put us not in 5th place.

We are in jeopardy of not finishing in 5th place. Anything less than 5th place is just not acceptable. Adam will replace us with those Winners from the Ladies A1 team. Only kidding he's gonna replace us with the 123er's.

Not only have we been losing more than our fair share of matches I haven't been updating the Blog. So For a New Years resolution I resolve to update the Blog everytime we win! Yep if you Want High quality crappy writing then you better win. Right now My writing skills are being wasted on worthless e-mails to the "Why I Hate the Willows message board"

Adam Era

Ok the new Administration has brought with it our first Victory of the year.

The Democratically Elected Captain has pushed through the politics and hurdles of the first road Match to deliver us the win, 4-1. Of course his detractors (aka.. other teams) will point out that this is probably one of the weaker teams. But don't be fooled by their attempt's to diminish the Accomplishment of the first of Many wins.

Leading by example Adam paired up with the New Kid on the block in 1st position. Carrying the injured Kartik over the finish line for the inspirational win! (6-1,6-0)

On court 2 Dave and Courtney found themselves inspired by the example to also win in straight sets (6-1,6-2).

Now since it was a split time match the other courts weren't able to witness the events and would have to wait for the telling inspiration to hit home. Being the Cynics they are. Bob and Todd were pondering the previous events well into the second set before they were able to find the belief and pull out the win . (4-6,6-3,6-3)

Court 4 saw true Adamite's take the example and run with it. Dean and George wasted no time winning their match in straight sets (6-2,6-4).

Now Court 5 on the other hand are definitely the "Fox News" Team of the week. Mickey (Who's known to have hung with High ranking Rep. Guys) and Joel (Who's probably flown em around) didn't really buy into the Whole new direction thing this week and lost a close match (6-4,7-6). Don't worry though, peer pressure will bring them into the fold.

Next Week we will continue this Administrations Winning ways with a Home win over the Yankees... I mean Willows...

Car Pooling Season. Place your Bets!

All right the new schedule is out and it's got 12 teams this year! That means 22 matches.. Just 4 short of a complete half years worth of Saturday matches. Throw in the two byes each half, some vacations and playoffs and this years season will clock in at just under a Decade.

This Year the Motto is "Drive Baby Drive" Your average road trip time just went up. This Year Lexington is back along with a 2nd Westford team. Not to mention the 2 Winchester Teams and that Lynnfield place. But it's not all bad news.. Both of the BSC's are Air Conditioned!

This year we are looking stronger than ever. We missed the draft due to a Coaching Change. But we were able to add a couple of New guys. ( We stole em from other teams.) Our Veterans are now Older aka More experienced. And our New Captain is Brainstorming out some killer lineups.

Now for the Breakdown of the Season and our opponents.

Ok let's break down the Teams.

Playoff Contenders.

US: Of course this is the Year.

Prediction: Champs! (no seriously 5th again)

Newburyport: Since drafting former A players a couple of seasons ago they have become a lock on the #1 regular season spot. But they keep coming up one match short in the playoffs as the more stacked team of the season takes em out.

Prediction: Finish Season in 1st, lose 2-3 in Playoffs.

Winchester Red: Ok now this team seems to pick up some sick players every year thanks to the fact that they are an open club and easy drive from Boston. Hopefully this year they don't. They have a home version and an away version of thier team. Home version is much better.

Prediction: Finish in 2nd or 3rd even money to win Championship.

Better Willows team: Ok this year there is only 2 Willows teams and One figures to be alot better than the other. The core of thier team rolled thru the Usta's and with the ability to pick and choose the best of the Willows they are Winchester Reds toughest foe for the Championship.

Prediction: Finish in 2nd or 3rd, even money to win Championship.

Westford: Last year they snuck in with some lucky matchups in the final 3 weeks. But this year with the addition of a 2nd team it gives them the opportunity to stack one of the Teams. We will probably be fighting them for 4th again.

Prediction: 4th by a point. Lose in the Finals to Willows/Winchester

The Rest of the Bunch.

Lynnfield has the power in thier top position to surprise some teams but they lack depth. Yes they creamed us in the last match last year. But that was a fluke. Northeast is riding a 5 year skid down the rankings. The 2nd Teams for the Willows,Westford, and Winchester will have a few stars but will lack the depth to reach the heights of thier better teams. Bass River is a solid average team that will be right in the middle at the end of the Season.

The sleaper of the year: Lexington. The Reason is that they have solid players and the club is like 100 miles away. It gives them the easiest Home matches due to the fact that most clubs have a hard time getting thier 5 top teams there at thier split match times. If they can mount a better than .500 road record position 4 could be thiers.

So that's this years scouting report. Draft accordingly and get a fuel efficient Vehicle.

8/11/2009

Now Hiring.

Ok the Team is looking for a Captain and someone to run the Tuesday Practices.

Any interested party should assume they have the job. Just let someone know.

Also you don't have to be a man. It seems most of the players on this team are used to being told what to do by a Woman.. OH SNAP!

No seriously any gender can apply.

I Heart 5th

Clear your schedules, This one is gonna take a while.

First off I'd like to say that it was a great season. We were able to compete and beat every team but one. That one team is the one that gets to take our place in fourth. Fitting and Upsetting at the same time.

All season we were battling scheduling conflicts, injuries, surgeries, day care, antique shopping, work, wives, lost keys, and more vacations than state employees get in a lifetime. But somehow we were able to position ourselves for a playoff birth. With only one week left (a make up week at that). We needed a team win to play in May. But you know what? Playing in May, indoors. Sucks!! And somehow that seemed to translate to the match.

This week being like a majority of the weeks this year, saw us having to improvise with the lineups. Unlike the past though it didn't work. Playing a split-time schedule didn't help us either.

Not having a legit 9:30 #1 team, Todd and a "Michael Scott Gps guided" Eric, drove their "Sherman" over to Lynnfield to lose first position. The good news in that loss is that they did get free Bagels for Breakfast.

Playing at the normal 11am time, This years rookie(?) of the Year Arnie and his new partner Courtney cruised to the only victory we saw this week winning in straights on court 2.

Now things got really funky. The $ team of Chad and Mike saw their first loss ever outside of position #1. I mean really their first loss. They have never lost outside of first position. EVER! Vegas had them at 200 to 1. Big guys named Pauly and Sal with bats are looking for them right now.I lost a mortgage payment on that match.

Tony and George? Yeah they got to eat Brunch for free. Seriously! Twice. Luckily I didn't buy a lottery ticket this week. This never happens. Tony has played insanely good this year. George coming off of Hip surgery has been just lights out. I saw it, but I don't believe it.

Pretty much our only Set Team of the whole year was Mickey and Frank. Playing at the Anchor position for the majority of the year. They are the reason we were as close to the playoffs as we were. Posting a win % of 70+ this season they won Matches for us and really made my life easier on Tuesday and Saturdays. What they lacked in Youth they made up for in experience and Skill. Having a perpensity for late match dramatics I thought that they had won the 3rd. I swear they got that last point. But of course since we were having one of those weird end of the Year days they lost it by only a break at 6-4 or 7-5. I didn't get the score sheet. I'm gonna kinda pull a "I don't really remember" type of a thing.

So That's how we lost 4-1 on a week where we could have gotten to that elusive 4th position at the end of the year. This is the Third year that we finish in 5th place*. *(Last year we skipped our final match cause we were 7 points out of 4th, but only 1 point out of 5th. so I assume we could've gotten 1 point.)

I'd like to Thank everyone for not giving me to much crap. Seriously, I know that some of the lineups were weird and maybe I stuck you to low or put you to high in the lineup. Made you play with me. But week in and week out I tried to put a team on the court that could pull out a match win. It almost worked out. Hey We spooked Newburyport to the point they didn't want to play us in the playoffs. I'd like to say that next year is our year but after 3 years of 5th place...... Well you know......

Remember.. If you need someone to play just let me know!!!! Let's keep playing thru the summer.. but I'm not setting it up. I'm on Vacation. 8-)

3 More Points ! ! !

Ok Saturday went just the way we needed it to. Not only did we get 5 points (4 wins). But The Willows, for the 2nd week in a row. Only managed to get 1 point. I hadn't figured on them collapsing in the final 2 weeks. They have finished the season with 82 points. We now have 80 points and one more Match! 2 points will not do it, we need 3!

On Court one Adam and Evan had the toughest match. They lost by one game down 3-2 in the third on serve. It was a very close match, with Adam saying that "they just made to many mistakes at the wrong time".

The comeback win of the week award goes to Mickey and Frank. Playing on Court 5 they got down early and by alot. Losing the first set at Bagel. They regained focus and won the second set. Now at one set apiece they got down 4-1 in the third. Then started clawing their way back to 4-3 when Mickey hit a second serve Ace on break point to put the momentum finally in their favor and close it out 6-4 in the third.

Runners up for that Award were Chad and Tony in 4 who lost a close fought first set 7-6 on a 4-4 point in the breaker. But then they just cranked it up and blew through the next set and a half giving up only 3 games and winning the match by 4 games on time.

Court 3 saw the Pairing of Todd and Courtney again. This one picked up where the last one ended with neither player remembering which side they played last time. But it didn't matter as they won in straights with Courtney making about 15+ "just sick volleys. " And Todd's biggest mistake (aside from serving) was trying to volley in front of Courtney. 6-3,6-4

Dan got his first official A1 start of the season on court 2 with Arnie this week. And it took a little bit of time to get the rust off. After winning the first set 6-3 they decided that they would serve a little breakfast to the guys from lynnfield, and offered them a Bagel for the second set. They accepted and we got our 4th win of the day!

Now next week we travel to Lynnfield to play them again. I'm sure they are going to want a little revenge for this week. But we can't let them have it. As of right now we need to win 3 positions to make the playoffs. I'll be sending out some inspiring e-mails soon and to psych you up Watch this!

Yes Elisabeth Shue will be watching our next match.

5 More Points.

That's right it's final four time. And right now we still are not in the final four. Today pushed us closer to a playoff spot. Right now we are 7 points behind Westford. More about the scenarios after this weeks updates. But be ready... We need to put out our strongest lineups of the year for the next 2 weeks if we want to make the playoffs. It's been a long season and it's going to come right down to wire. 1 or 2 points will be the difference in us either going to the playoffs or you guys taking me out for beers and barbeque.

With only 3 matches left in the Season we traveled to the willows. Needing every point we can get, the matches were pressure packed. We managed to win 4 out of the 5 matches and pick up 5 points this week. 6 would've been better but 5 is pretty good considering how tough the matches were.

Court 1 saw the only loss of the day with Chad and Mike loosing by just 1 game late in the third set. They lost the first set in a tie-breaker and then stormed out quick and took the second set. With only 15 minutes left in the match they were up 3 games. But their opponents seized the momentum and stormed to a 5-1 lead in the third when the buzzer buzzed. The curse of Court 1 still haunts Chad and Mike. Someone get them a Horseshoe.

Court 2 saw a very tough and tight match. Dave and Arnie lost a close first set and then won the second set. The third was a back and forth affair until time ran out and they had to play a tie-breaker for the match. In the breaker Dave and Arnie got down 0-3 which is not good when it's first to 5. But with some great volleys and clutch serving they battled back to win the match 5-3. A very important win.

On court 3 Todd and George didn't give their opposition any chance to make it close. Falling behind a couple of games at the beginning because Todd got broke again! only woke em up to take the match 6-3,6-2. Props go out to the creator of George's new hip because he is moving like a 20 year old. I think I'm going to get one of those in the off season.

Tony and Eric over on court 4 had the match in the bag. They won the first set 6-4 and were up 5-2 in the 2nd. Then it all went bad. They lost the 2nd set in a tie break and then battled to keep it even in the 3rd before the time ran out and they took the win by 1 game! kinda balances out the first position loss by a game. They called it an "ugly win" I say it's only ugly if it's a loss. We need the point!

Frank and Mickey on court 5 put in a lunch pail kind of a day. Nothing flashy or gimmicky. Just a good tough effort to take the match in straight sets. (6-4,6-4) That's the kind of no drama win we like to see.

Ok here are the scenarios:

We have 2 matches left against the 7th place lynnfield team. Westford has one match against the #1 newburyport team. Right now we are either 7 or 8 points behind Westford.

If we continue to get 5 points in each match, we will need Westford to lose 3-2 or worse against Newburyport to make the playoffs. If we get 12 points then Westford will have to become only the 3rd team this year to beat Newburyport. The other 2? Us and Winchester. I will know more about exactly what we have to do in the final 2 matches once I find out how Westford did against lynnfield this week. But be ready... We are going to need all the bullets in the gun for the final 2 weeks.

Screw Tennis let's talk Video Games

Ok seriously,,, Why am I not on Scifi's Ultimate gamer show? I'm as good as these people. Just look at my gamer score! Halo 3 ? come on that game is for kids... Where is the Counter strike? Where's the Modern Warfare? Rockband should not be on a show called Ultimate gamer, let alone Dance Dance Revolution. And any driving game that is not created by papyrus should not be on that show. What's on next weeks show? Hello Kitty? It should be called Generic Gamer.

Just messing with you all. This week we traveled to the outer bubble of Cedardale for another home/away match. We are in a battle for the 4th playoff spot. This week we were able to secure 5 out of the 6 points available to us by defeating one of the 3 Willows teams.

Over on the home Court side of the match in position one. TennisCourtney@gmail.com and Arnie pulled out an easy straight set win.
Then over in the away side of the building something weird this way was happening.

On Court 2 Adam and Tim decided that they would practice a little mixed doubles by having Adam play the Deuce side of the court. That is not a good idea. Adam should never see that side of the court, unless he's teaching, then it's ok. The first set ended in a tie-break win for us. Then the second set saw a return to form as Adam returned to the Ad-Side. They proceeded to cruise to a straight set win only giving up 1 game in the second set. For future reference, NEVER PRACTICE MIXED DOUBLES WHILE WE ARE IN A PLAYOFF HUNT.

On Court 3 Todd and Dave gave up only 2 games in the routine straight set win. They did not practice mixed doubles positions. Then over on court 4 Mickey and Chad picked up win #4 for the week. With the speed and experience combination they posses as a team, their opponents had no chance.

Court 5 saw a couple of rookies get pulled up into duty from the b1 team. Starting off shaky they rebounded and made it close in the 2nd set before ultimately falling in straights.

5 Points is good but we should have gotten 6. Injuries and other factors have hurt us severely. Next week we are playing at the Willows. This is another must win match. 6 points is our goal. 6 months of playing comes down to the final 3 weeks. Lets step it up and go 5 for 5 for the next 3 weeks. You want to play in May don't YA ?

Also u could be an Ultimate Gamer (or an old gamer) if you know what game that little guy is from. Post your answer in our Cedardale Tennis Stars Group page on Facebook. The first correct answer gets to be the Groups Ultimate Gamer!

Comcast - Sports Channel U Suck.

Hey way to ruin the "5th" Grand Slam. There are multiple Fsn channels and you can't move the Tennis to one of the other ones that's showing a 2 week old college lacrosse match? It's ok everybody has a dvr and can tape the tennis at 2am and then watch the compressed 2hr show that ends mid match also. Not to mention that you put it on an HD channel and the feed is worse than the crappy compressed SD version that the Tennis Channel was showing just a day before. But it's not all Comcrap Sports fault, I mean the channel they share with Fox-Sports contractually must let them do this. So let's look at what's scheduled to be on the Comcast sports channel at 4pm today when the Semis including Federer, Murray, Roddick and Nadal are scheduled to be played.

4:00p (PKR) FullTiltPoker.net Million Dollar Cash Game #10
5:00p (PKR) ClubWPT.com #6
6:00p (PKR) Heartland Poker Tour #94 (R)
7:00p (MISC) Best Damn Top 50 Special #69 Sports Bloopers II - Part 1: 50-26

Yep instead of showing Live Semifinal Tennis from the "5th" Major. We get to watch Poker and Sports Bloopers. Wow real sports fan you got there programing your lineup. And I pay for this Crap? Where is ala-cart? Maybe they'll have a last minute change of heart.

Now to just complete their circle of Suck. I got a message from Comcast that they might be dropping the NFL network May 1st. Ok so I asked them if they would be lowering my sports package price and replacing the HDNFL network with the HD TennisChannel. Since I pay for both I should have the choice of which one I want in HD. The answer to both, No. WTH somehow you have the TennisChannel HD in on Demand but your not going to waste space to send it as a channel to the people who actually pay for it and want it.

Yep I'm tired of the crappy Cable company. But they are a monopoly in my town. Thanks Town.

Stringing Special this week only !

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension with no parking. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between sports and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his skill. This is the dimension of rectangles. It is an area which we call the Lexington Tennis Zone.

Yep this week was a typical trip to the Zone. I misread the times of the Matches again! Everyone had an injury or a vacation. We lost more than one position, and we aren't in 4th anymore. We won the improbable 2-3-5 trifecta. So let's hear about what happened.

In position 1 Courtney and Dave, playing at the ungodly time of 9AM. Lost by games when time ran out in the third set. How did they get down in games? How did it get to a third set? Well it probably had something to do with Dave not being prepared. I mean how do you not prepare for breaking the strings on every racket you have in your bag early on in the 1st set. Have a recently strung racket you haven't used yet? Those break too. Dave be a boy scout here. Then of course Courtney had no real back-up rackets either, just an old "pro" stick with no power and a trampoline, so the team was outta luck, outta sync, and outta time.(4-6,6-3,3-2)

Position 2 had Arnie and Todd taking on a couple of crafty veterans. This one went closer to normal. Letting up on a few points didn't affect the outcome of the Straight set Victory.(6-3,7-5) Over on court 3 Jason and Tony Played arguably the toughest team and won a close fought (7-6,6-4) straight setter. Just some heavy hitting and great points on that court. I got caught watching their points a few times when I should have been watching my own.

What the heck happened on court 4? Mickey and Frank have been red hot since the almost benching incident. But today they cooled off. Mickey having a not so good serving day.(been there!) Gave up a couple of games to lose the match by a break a set.(7-5,6-4) Ok you guys are benched for next week the 21st !!

Court 5 saw George and Joel (pulled up from the farm team) at the all important anchor position win an easy 2 setter(6-2,6-2).

Ok update on the season.. With only 4 matches left for the year (including a make up match) our fate is in our own hands. Out of a possible 24 points if we get 20 of those we could make the playoffs. statistically. Our next 2 matches are against the lower willows teams and then we have 2 straight matches against lynnfield. Last year we were in pretty much the same position. We finished the year with 90 points and one make-up match unplayed. The fourth place team got in with 97/98 points. If we had swept (lynnfield also) that unplayed make-up match we would have missed the playoffs by only 1 or 2 points. Let's get all 24!

3/08/2009

Strike !!!

The High Rollers (<1oz) completely destroyed the Klonopins. Despite being down 22 pins after the first string. The Meds were working early for both teams. Once they wore off in the 2nd string. The more athletic team pulled ahead and finished with a 50+ pin victory! The High Rollers didn't win the real tournament but did gain bragging and smack talk rights for the next year!

Suck it Klonopins!

Oh yeah there was a tennis match this weekend also. Taking a cue from most of the team I decided to skip a week. (only kidding) So I got this weeks updates from a couple of field reporters. So this week we beat another team 4-1.

So over on court 1 our field reporter Chad reports that it just wasn't their day. Their opponents hit every line and had a few lucky net-cords go their way. They lost 6-2,7-6. (editors note- This ends their win streak. just like last year it ended in 1st position. Better luck next year at the "Perfect Season")

That's all I know about the matches. The rest won but the reporting was quick and lacked any detail.

Dave must have been reporting from the front lines and under fire because all he was able to report was that the team had won 4-1 before he was cut off. Frank was able to get out a little more, after decoding his message with the enigma. I was able to decipher that we had been defeated in our most forward position.

Not a problem. 5 points will keep us in the hunt for a playoff spot and since we didn't lose a lot of players this week, maybe we'll have 10 for our invasion of Lexington next week. I'm not bowling next week so we will have more info on the matches. Although I am entertaining minor bowling league contracts at the moment.

2/20/2009

We are in 4th place Again!

Here's a little gift for your hard work.

Could this be why we still watch Wta matches?

Everyone else in the tennis world is picking on the Wta. I'm just trying to get them more fans. Thank you S.I. If my hit counter goes up by 100, then a new Hot Tennis Chick pic every week!

2/16/2009

Win Streak Engaged

We won a Home match 3-2 this week. A bunch of injured guys and a couple of B1 players managed to get 3 w's this week. Next match in 3 weeks.

2/08/2009

Macaulay the Winner

Yep That's why there has been no update.. But to sum it up.. Halfway through the first set when we were up 4-1 and had already had 2, 3 all games. Courtney asked me if this was a no-ad league? Not to be outdone He asked me about a previous point and I thought he was talking about what to do on the next point. Needless to say our "obvious obliviousness" to our situation had no affect on the outcome of the Match ,or that of the Teams outcome this week.

Our Team came through with a 4-1 Victory over the struggling Northeast team. Andy and Arnie in 1st position pulled out a win. It was a tough one. They actually gave up 3 games. On two Courtney and Todd gave up 3 games also but didn't realize it. Court 3 saw Dave getting a win to break the losing streak Todd stuck him with. Dave's partner Mike might have helped. But I wouldn't know because I didn't get a score sheet. Or actually sign one. So even though we won 4-1 who knows what will show up on the league homepage.

Ok so over on 5 Mickey and Jason pulled out a 3 set win with Jason coming off the DL with a rehab start. Then on 4 Tony and Eric had an off week losing as the clock struck 12:30 in 3 sets.

Now it's Time for a men's weekend.. Ideas?? And if you post "A1 match" Then I'll know who u r Adam.

If you don't get it.. read the comment.. you know click next to the little pencil. Damn Editors.

2/01/2009

Damn you NADAL !!! winchester..

Yep sums up our weekend also... 1-4 loss. still we are not #1 in the world.

1/24/2009

Wah Wah it's almost 12:30

Today we took 4 of 5 from a team that was above us. It put us in a playoff spot. Set us up for a great chance for the post season, and maybe even home field advantage for the first round. That's reason to be Happy right? It should be. But I'm still Thinking about how piss poor I played this morning. Considering the way it turned out, I should be even more Mad... I know, don't dwell on Matches, but this one really irks me..

Ok, to go outta turn I'll describe our only loss of the day. Todd and Dave gave up a 4-3 lead in the first to lose it 7-5 and then proceeded to pack it in. Once down 5-2 and 15-40 in the 2nd set, We decided to actually win a few games. Actually won the Second set in a tie break, fought off 6+ match points... And then at 12:27 (Although the clock at the Club we pay like $1000 a year to, is showing the wrong time...By like 93+ minutes, Wtf I'm not a Math prodigy.) after the tie break, our opponents decided to sit around and discuss how much time they have to waste to win by ONE FREAKING GAME because they are to afraid to get their asses to the other side of the court and receive serve. (7-5,6-7) What the hell was this, a Womens Match? The worst thing of the match was that We could play that bad and still be in it at the buzzer... Wait there is no Freaking buzzer.. Like they can't buy a stupid $100 clock that goes BZZZZZZZZZ every half hour and actually shows you the right time... Ok Rant over..

Now onto the Good stuff..

Andy and Arnie Won a tough match in 1st. Winning the first set in a tie break and then getting a break in the second to Take it 7-6,6-4. WooHoo..

Ok What the heck was up with our position 2 team this week? I heard that they were walking around barefoot before the match. Is this some sort of new age winning philosophy that I don't know about. Seriously I need to know about anything that will make time go slower or help me win. Anyways, Mike and Chad Won in straights to start this years streak at 2 games. Can they beat last years record of 4?? Last year it ended when they were put in 1st. Are they up to 1st for next week???? Can they get the streak to 3????

Now over on 4 Tony and Don regained their winning Form to add another win to their impressive resume. Winning in straights they continue to be almost a sure bet each and every week. NO MORE UNAPPROVED VACATIONS!!! At least till we are assured a playoff birth.

In 5th this week. Frank and Mickey continue to make me look stupid for almost Benching them a couple of weeks ago. They pulled out the Hammer and Crushed their opposition. Only giving up a total of 3 games, They get the Kick Ass Award this week.

Now onto the Future.. Next Week we are Playing Another top 2 team. We are at Winchester, and if we can beat them we will go 3-1 against the top 4 teams of the 1st half. Which will almost guarantee us a playoff berth.

Todd = This week.

Galactica and Playoffs

I just watched The first episode of Season 4.5 of Battlestar Galactica, And all I can say is What the Frak! I won't give anything away because some of the people on our team are not up to date on the show yet, But to the Writers I say... Stop nuking our favorite characters. And the Fifth cylon?? Everyone and their brother was like That character is a Cylon, earlier on in the shows history. Yes it is the Best Show on TV. Thank you BBC for allowing a good show in the USA.

What about those Eagles huh? Sunday they take on the Cardinals for a chance to play against the crappy Steelers in the Superbowl. I see McNabb scoring like 30+ points for my playoff fantasy team. Also the mixed team has a big match on Sunday afternoon also.

Let's see what else happened this weekend.. Oh nothing.. Great.. Then we are done here.

Wait.. Wasn't there a Mens A1 match?

No..

I think there was..

You're mistaken..

No I think you lost..

I think you should shut up..

In fact I think that Todd and Dave lost a close one in first. Todd blew an easy 30-30 volley down 4-5 in the third set to help set up the loss. Then I heard that Chad and Mike just cruised in a straight set Win in two. Over on Three That Tan vacation guy Don with his partner Tony lost by one game when they ran out of time early in the third set. And if I'm correct Mickey and Frank lost in straights in fourth. Oh yeah... no one else wanted to play and you Defaulted 5th position.

I hate you..

I am you..

I need therapy..

lie down right over here..

Thanks. This is comfy. When I was 18 I knew I wanted to be a Tennis Player..

WHOA

Wow, I'm speechless... I have writers block... I'm in shock...

What a great Team Win we had today. Taking on this years #1 team and last years runner-ups, We brought It. If it wasn't for an injury, we might have gotten the Team Bagel.

Newburyport was expecting a tough match and brought almost all their guns.

Luckily for us we disarmed em?
They forgot their ammo?
They didn't shoot straight?
We Matrixed em?
This ain't the Old West?

What the Hell am I saying?

I'm saying that this is the only team we have lost to the last 3 times we have played them. All 3-2 losses with swing matches that have gone to the 3rd set. But not this Time!

This week our only loss came on court 1 where Bob Btn. and Adam had a close first set losing it by one break, They then had to retire when Adam suffered an injury in the second set and was unable to continue.

From court 2 on we didn't lose.

On court 2 Andy and Todd regained thier usta form and took out a couple of 4.5+'s in straights for the Win. Court 3 Saw Dave and Bob Bnt split the first two streaky sets and then just play tough solid tennis to take the 3rd 6-4.

Court 4 Had Tony and Chad (filling in for an un-aproved vacation) Win in two dramaless sets. I couldn't see that far down the court but I heard it. It was uneventful. Now onto what was almost the biggest coaching error of the week. Court 5 saw Mickey and Frank, who were almost benched this week for no real reason, Come thru big time and solidified the 5 point Victory this week.

Now we can't just end the season now... Next week we play at our favorite spot THE WILLOWS. Against a Team that beat us 4-1 in week number 2. Let's get some Revenge. Anyone know if the Woodies are in the states?

Oh Yeah This is a totally good week... Battlestar Galactica starts its final season Friday night. I know the curfew rule, I promise no drinking and lights out right when it's over. Who's the final Cylon? It better not be the old man or the Ship!
